Yamaha MT-10 parts scanning & reverse engineering

Yamaha MT-10 Part Replication, 3D Scanning & Reverse Engineering in Dubai

IJK Labs replicates and reverse engineers parts for the Yamaha MT-10 — the naked superbike built around the R1's crossplane CP4 engine. Crashed a fairing panel, snapped a lever, or chasing a discontinued OEM bracket? We scan the original part (or what's left of it) at up to 0.04 mm with our EinScan HX2, rebuild it as a clean CAD model, and manufacture a replacement in the right material.

Yamaha MT-10 parts scanning & reverse engineering

Built for the MT-10 rider and tuner

The Yamaha MT-10 is one of Dubai's favourite naked bikes — and like any hard-ridden superbike, it eventually needs a part that's back-ordered, discontinued, or simply not sold separately. Dealers often only supply full assemblies. Reverse engineering lets us replicate the exact part you need, from a single cracked tab to a full body panel.

Our Shining 3D EinScan HX2 captures the MT-10's complex geometry — the aggressive front cowl and headlight surround, radiator side shrouds, tail unit, sub-frame brackets, brake and clutch levers, rear-set mounts, and fender eliminators — at up to 0.04 mm accuracy, handling glossy paint and dark plastics thanks to its blue-laser and blue-LED modes. We then rebuild the part as a parametric CAD model in SolidWorks or Fusion 360.

From there we can 3D print a durable replacement in ABS, PETG, or nylon, print an SLA master for a carbon-fibre or fibreglass mould, or hand you manufacturing-ready files for CNC-machined billet parts. We also design and print custom upgrades — bellypans, cowl inserts, bracket relocations, and one-off accessories tailored to your MT-10 build. NDAs and a digital archive for future re-orders come as standard.

Capabilities

Reverse Engineering capabilities

Full-service digital fabrication under one roof in Dubai.

No Original Drawings

Legacy machinery, old parts, foreign equipment — we can still manufacture replacements.

Faster Than Measuring

Days, not weeks. We scan the whole part in hours, model the features in CAD.

More Accurate

Sub-millimeter vs ±0.5mm by hand. CAD model is parametric, modifiable, reusable.

Digital Archive

Future re-orders, modifications, or audits — the digital file is forever.

Design Improvement

RE the current design, modify the CAD, manufacture the improved version.

Marker-Based Scanning

For deep grooves and hard-to-reach areas we scan with Capilier reference markers to lock alignment and capture geometry other methods miss.

Quality Control

Scan a production part and compare to original CAD. Sub-mm deviation reports.

Process

How it works

From inquiry to delivery — straightforward, transparent, fast.

01

Physical Part

You bring or ship us the part, or we visit your site.

02

3D Scan

High-accuracy scan captures every surface (millions of data points).

03

Point Cloud to Mesh

We process the raw scan into a clean 3D mesh.

04

Geomagic Processing

We refine the mesh in Geomagic — cleanup, hole-filling, decimation, and surface preparation — so it's optimised and ready for accurate CAD.

FAQ

Yamaha MT-10 parts scanning & reverse engineering — frequently asked

Can you replicate a cracked or broken MT-10 fairing?+
Yes. Even with missing chunks we scan whatever survives, then reconstruct the missing geometry in CAD using the part's symmetry, mounting points, and reference photos. You get a clean replacement plus a digital file for any future re-orders.
Do you make replacements for discontinued Yamaha MT-10 parts?+
Yes. When Yamaha only sells a full assembly or a part is back-ordered, we reverse engineer the individual component — brackets, tabs, levers, covers, trim — and remanufacture it in the original or an upgraded material.
Can you print MT-10 parts in carbon fibre?+
We produce carbon-look and true carbon-fibre parts two ways: printing in carbon-fibre-reinforced filament for functional parts, or printing a precise SLA master to lay up a genuine carbon-fibre or fibreglass part from a mould. We'll recommend the right route for the part and your budget.
Do I have to remove the part from the bike?+
Usually it helps, but our scanner is portable — for parts that are awkward to remove or reference surfaces on the bike, we can scan on-site across Dubai and the UAE.
What files do I get for my own fabricator?+
STEP, IGES, and native SolidWorks or Fusion 360 files, plus STL for printing and 2D drawings on request — whatever your CNC shop or fabricator needs.
